80-ies was time of experimenting music, art as well as in politics. The period coincided with political liberation. I agree that political freedom does not necessarily result innovative art. For example, although political freedoms are much greater now, art and music is mediocre.

Hi, Yugoslav music from that period is indeed great, but I don't think that the greater political freedom enjoyed in Yugoslavia were responsible for that - amazing music was happening at that time also in Pact countries, for instance the outpour of Polish punk and cold wave bands such as Brygada Kryzys, Dezerter, Republika, Izrael, Klaus Mittfoch, and so on. I imagine it was similar all over the region.

We don't have unique author ID's at the moment. Ideally authors would be resources and dc:creator would point to those. For now, using literals is the best we could do. Stay tuned for future improvements.

Wow, this is awesome news indeed! Thanks for posting about it.

If you want to have dc:creator assertions that use a literal I wonder if you need to use the Dublin Core Element Set? So for example, should:

"Dominique Muller" .

instead be:

"Dominique Muller" .

Using Dublin Core Terms would be definitely be preferable; but I think you would need to use a URI for the creator then. Something like:

.

But I imagine that might be tougher to do? Ahh, strings vs things ...

Wow - that's hot! Since I know next to nothing about Filipino music traditions, I was surprised to hear how "Western" / steel guitar it sounded to my unexpecting ears (at first I thought he was playing a blues song). Awesome.

The rig reminds me of a kid I saw in Salvador, Brazil, who was ripping on a home-made berimbau made out of a twig, wire, and - for the resonator - a litre-sized plastic coke bottle with the bottom cut-off.

That is the least of the problems. I recently ran into major problems with their new root/chain.

Prior to 1.5 is not correct. Priory to 1.5.0_09 which MANY business are using is more like it. Not only that, older installations of openssl will also have issues. That means many php and perl apps will break in addition to weblogic, jboss, websphere and so on. Just upgrade? Not that easy, as any development org knows.

Windows workstations using MSIE6 SP1 or older will not be able to deal with their new root as well.

This is not the only problem. Java prior to version 1.6 will not be able to deal with EV SSL certs at all.

Network Solutions is trying to force the world to upgrade all their machines. As much as I would like that to happen, we know it will not.

I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. They really should have kept the GTE cert as long as possible. Many people are going to be forced to either go to Verisign (expensive) or GoDaddy (omg no!).
